**What is Rush?
Rush is a period where you acquaint yourself with all the organizations on campus. It is a time where you get to know the members of the organizations and gather information of what each organization has to offer, allowing you to discern and find if it is the right one for you. One of the most important things to remember is to keep an open mind. Kappa Phi Lambda's rush provides an opportunity for all those interested to come out and get to know our Sisters and see what we're all about. Our rush is designed especially for YOU to be able to come out and have a good time, providing a relaxed environment for you to ask questions and interact with our Sisters and learn a little bit about what our sorority stands for. And best of all, it's absolutely free, so there's no reason not to come out!

**Why Kappa Phi Lambda?
There are many reasons you should consider Kappa Phi Lambda

A sorority is defined as: A chiefly social organization of women students at a college or university, usually designated by Greek letters. Well Kappa is so much more. What makes us different from a club is that we are founded on the idea of Sisterhood. A Sister is always there to lend an ear, to give a helping hand, share your happiness with. Sisterhood is eternal.

Be a leader and not a follower. As one of the fastest growing organizations of its kind, be a part of the foundation, don't just be another face.

There are unlimited opportunities to meet new people, network, and prepare for your future. Build strong leadership qualities that are invaluable.

With Kappa, there is never a dull moment. With year long commitments to community service, our philanthropy, and of course mixers and parties, your college career is sure to be a well-rounded one.

**Do I Have to Be Asian to Join?
You DO NOT have to be Asian to become a sister of Kappa Phi Lambda. We are an Asian-Interest Cultural sorority, with goals of educating others about our unique and diverse heritage. Tolerance is an ideal that we encourage and we welcome those of any and all cultures to come and share our ideals and goals. Repeat, we are not Asian exclusive!

**What About All Those Hazing That They Make You Do As A Pledge?
Kappa Phi Lambda stands firmly behind our belief of positive pledging. We would NEVER do anything that puts you in harms way. To emphasize this fact, every semester we attend seminars on hazing and alcohol/substance abuse.

**Will Pledging Affect My Grades?
We are all college students and are in college to get an education first and foremost, and one of the principles we stand on is academic excellence. During the pledging process, time is always allotted for your studies. It's all about time management!

**I Don't Think I Can Afford To Join?
You may be surprised to find out exactly how low our dues actually are. As a non-profit organization we hold many fundraisers and events to raise money for the necessities of Greek Life. We would never want money to be the reason you miss out on Sisterhood!
